Didn't Dermot bowl a snorter of a slower ball with which he used to blow away the tail when bowling at the death?

Yes Richard, we should cut it out

This sort of thing detracts from the purity of the forum

.... and even worse makes folk realise just what a sad pair we are

I've just read the story of the sale on Crickinfo and am ashamed of my cynical and mocking comments above. Mr Fredfertang should be very disappointed that he allowed himself to be drawn into such a tawdry exchange. I didn't realise that Dermot had fallen so far and wish him well with his sale.

I've always said "if you can't laugh at other people's misfortune, what can you laugh at?" but maybe I'll have to rethink.

I agree - the offending posts should be deleted

I also wish Dermot well

i had no idea dermot reeve had such problems in his life. i find it amazing that he is unable to get a coaching job somewhere. he was one of the best county captains around, and i am sure he could do a job coaching somewhere. hope his luck turns quickly.

Alas I never spoke to Dermot direct on the book, I dealt with his brother , Dermot seems to have put his demons to bed and is coaching in Australia, unfortunately his family are a distance away do he plans to use the funds to pay for air fare to see his kids,

£3k was £100 less than the Amir book so is this the going rate for a #5?
