I too didn't expect it to go above £4500.

Credit crunch? What credit crunch?

Excellent news for the site. Excellent news for sellers with top end merchandise. Not so pleasing for those looking to extend their collections with the most serious books.

It was very exciting, just feel sorry for the under bidder as it may be a while before another comes up. With my earliest complete original being 1881 it may be a long road ahead!

Thanks for all those who took part.

Chris

You'd better revise your Advanced Valuations spreadsheet as this one really made your Mint price of £6,000 to buy and £4,000 to sell look just a tad light!

With quality items, I don't think there is a predictable market price if at least two people want to fill a gap with a "Benno Standard" book.

The sample size is so small it is very very hard to price them up, but with all stats the more history the better so i can revise the valuations table for this year at least, cheers, Chris
